We have realized that there was the need in the market to provide personal assistance to the tourists that want to come and feel like “Lisboetas”.

We decided to set up SECOND HOUSE, a property management company focused on short and medium term renting, to receive tourists in unique apartments with high quality and with a personal touch. For this reasons we have put all our efforts on getting the apartments that we manage very comfortable and well decorated.

Our Lisbon apartments are sophisticated with a beautiful interior decoration, unique and charming details. They are extremely well located in the most trendy neighborhoods of the city centre, and close to the historical sites to visit.

We have grown up. From two we are now three associates. We have increased the number of properties and we have started a new business area: real estate services. We also provide decoration and refurbishment services and/or we just take care of the apartment to owners while they are away.

SECOND HOUSE provides unique and unforgettable moments in its homes. Stories for life! Long stories, maybe even love stories....

Begin your own story, with Second House!

Second House. A long story.

We provide exclusive attention in all details and needs of our guests, and we give them support during their stay. We are not tour guides!

We work as personal consultants to advise them on how to experience Lisbon.

Chiado and Bairro Alto

The most crowded neighbourhoods in town are Chiado and Bairro Alto. A nice way of getting to Chiado is to take either the Glória Funicular or the Santa Justa Lift. The first one connects the Restauradores Square to the magnificent São Pedro de Alcântara Belvedere. The second one can be caught near Rossio Square and will get you to where the ruins of the Carmo Convent are.

Torre de Belém, Jeronimos and CCB

Aside from the centre of the city there are other areas you should not miss. The most important one is Belém, a neighbourhood in the west end of town, from where the ships used to sail out during the time of the discoveries. In Belém the main attractions are the Jerónimos Monastary and the Belém Tower and the new established MAAT- Art, Architecture and Technology Museum. Other landmark buildings are the Padrão dos Descobrimentos and the Presidential Palace.

Downtown: Rossio and Baixa

Between two of the Lisbon main hills you have the so called downtown, extending between the Rossio and Comércio Square. Throughout the in-between streets you may find lots of shops, restaurants and street artists. It used to be the business centre of the city, hosting most of the ministries, high courts, bank headquarters and so on. These have been for the most off relocated during the last two decades but have been replaced with buoyant commerce.
